I would like to add that its not very good to use on bloodprinces, as the valkyrs will attack the nearest target, wich more often then not, will be the shadow orbs, wich the ranged tank will need to not die from the shadow prince. This really was a problem with 4 ppl in the raid useing the staff :)

I have never had that occur to me. I never run ahead when in raids, and I haven't seen it on trash in heroics if they were still up. The valkyrs attack whatever spawns them, and after that they go on whatever you attack.

If you have treants up at the same time as your valkyrs, you can control them with the pet bar, if I recall correctly. I'm just going on a wild chase here, but what if their pets are on agressive? Could that have an affect?

Still, I haven't noticed it myself. In any case, if the valkyrs are up when you are running past trash, you will just have to keep your distance. I can't remember a raid where you skid past trash, really.. :)

One issue with the Val'kyr that you may or may not have come across, is that they will gleefully pull that extra trash pack you're trying to avoid or break that CC target you didn't want broken. We have two raiders that have this staff and are required to use something else when we're trying to skip trash etc.

Qieth-
Check out the last few pages of EJ's Moonkin Raiding thread.
They updated Wrath Calcs for ICC levels of stats and that resulted in the newer valuation of IS that I was referring to. It's just theory so far.

The blue post was regarding PPM stuff (proc per minute). There is no internal cooldown on Nibelung, so i doub this was included. In any way, i haven't really noticed a difference :)

Well, I've got a question about the proc-chance. Recently there was a bluepost regarding procs. Since the Valkyrs are obviously a proc, this might affect it. (regarding the 3% application chance on Starfire with glyph instead of 1%, spell(1) + Earth&Moon(1) + Extended Moonfire Dot(1) = ~3)

Does it?

The Languish is a DoT, but the APPLICATION of that debuff onto the target counts as a harmful spell. So each time your wrath or starfire crit, a new application of the DoT is placed, to refresh the timer on the Languish. Each application or refresh is a free extra chance to proc an angel. The actual ticks of damage are not.
Also, if you take a look at current EJ conversations, Insect Swarm is quickly approaching a range of not being worth casting unless you're moving. You'd still want it up for it's IIS 3% on Wrath but they're saying it might not be worth casting in a rotation. If/when this happens, then it's an even clearer case to take Starfall glyph.
Personally I already use the Starfall glyph so I can apply the 3% miss to raid bosses for my group.
