You have probably noticed a lack of posts these last few weeks. There has been several reasons for this, mostly due to the lack of really interesting moonkin changes, but also because I seem to have been suffering a rather bad writing block. This has happened before, so I figured, no biggie.
The other day, however, I started contemplating my relationship to World of Warcraft. Long story short, I decided that I was going to call it quits. I am generally only logging on to raid, and while I really enjoy that, I figured it might be the time to move on after playing the game for over six years.
Seeing as this is a moonkin blog, and that I won’t actually be playing a moonkin anymore, I would be sorely pressed at doing writeups for a class and a game that I no longer play. So as far as that goes, this ends an era in the life of Qieth’s Quips.
As for the moonkin guide, this will obviously not be updated beyond it’s current state, and will – eventually, I guess – be taken down. I’m trying to sort out something with another poster on MMO-Champion to take over the moonkin guide in some form or another, so moonchicks still have a place for a good moonkin resource.
Waaaait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I’m not done!
So what’s going to happen to qieths-quips.com? What am I going to do from here on out? Well, don’t worry, I’ve got some things planned. I wanted to take this time and let you know what’s going to happen around here, so you can decide if you want to abandon me forever, or if you have a reason to ever check back.
This blog is going to magically turn into a sort of gaming/personal blog. For the last ~6 months, I’ve been publishing a lot of videos on Youtube, sometimes several videos each day. I have been doing commentated playthroughs of various games, and this is a project I would like to continue. And while I haven’t completely decided which direction I’ll take the blog, I reckon it will be a mix between talking about games and posting my Lets Play’s, while throwing in a few personal posts from time to time.
You can expect some changes as time goes by, and hopefully you will enjoy the content here and on my Youtube channel. Who knows, you might like it. For good measure, seeing as a lot of things are going to go down on my Youtube channel, it would be prudent to post a link here – go ahead and subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/qieth.
I would like to thank each and all of you for sticking with me during these 18 months. All your comments, feedback and support. It has been really enjoyable to blog for you and talk with you, and part of me will really miss that.
Best regards,
Dan Poulsen

Good on you man. I just recently quit after playing a Balance Druid for 5 years…much better to get out of the house and not have to pass up going out to a bar or something to raid. Raiding turned into more of a job than a game and I had to invest too much time into the game or not have fun. Nothing really got me going besides raiding, and when I realized that raiding was a chore rather than fun, I figured it was time to call it quits.
Have fun with your Let’s plays, looking forward to Portal 2!
Congratulations on the decision
, ive been away from WoW for 5 months now,
, i sure do miss raiding tho! x), so Quieth, let me welcome you to Life. (:P)
I completely understand your view and your reasons for quiting. However I can’t help but feel a little sad about it. I’ve followed your blog for a while and loved reading your viewpoints on the different moonkin changes. Specially because you are very positive and don’t cry all the time xD
I’m really gonna miss checking up on this site. Who knows, I might look it up from time to time but not as frequently anymore.
Good luck with your future projects, I wish you all the best.
Hey Qieth!
Well, this used to be the best blog, i ever read, helped me a lot to play my moonkin succesfully. I stopped playing WoW around 2 months ago and still checked ur blog about every other day, just to see, if u wrote something new. Now, that u won’t be writing about our lovely little chickens anymore, that’s not gonna change. It really doesnt matter, what u write about, ur just doing it well, it seems to be always interesting and entertaining and i always enjoyed and surely will enjoy reading ur texts.
So, welcome this new part of ur life and keep up the good work!
Best regards

It’s always sad to see someone in the moonkin community go. Especially one who doesn’t complain about every change like it is the end of the world. You were a great blogger and you will be awesome writing about other games!
I think everyone has been feeling down in wow lately. There is nothing to do outside raiding, and really having the same raid in 10/25 share the same lock out made me feel like the game was cut in half. WoW in itself isn’t very interesting anymore.
Good luck with everything!
Nooo! Sorry to see you leaving WoW. It always makes me sad when we lose a member of the community.
Even though it’s sad to see you stop WoW and blog on moonkins, I feel grateful that I did stumble upon it almost 1 1/2 years ago when I started getting into moonkins more. I’d like to take the time and thank you personally for the time that you spent for this blog and the community, I know for myself that I got a lot out of it and without its and your help, I wouldn’t be enjoying WoW as much as I am.
Take care Dan, it’s been a pleasure; I will still follow your Let’s play series since your commentary is priceless

It’s not the 1st of April
Whatever, I guess I’ll keep coming back every now and then for the other updates. It actually feels like the lack of interest in WoW occurs to many players currently. I still can’t figure out what exactly is wrong ^^ (probably many small things)
I wish you the best luck outside of WoW – I guess I’ll check out some LPs.
Sad to hear your quiting, but a man must do what it can do!
I’m very proud to have been able to follow your blog and heed your advices. Still going to follow your blog though!
I wish you much luck!
Qieth (Finally, spelled it correctly),
Sorry to hear you’re leaving the WoW moonkin community. You were one of the first bloggers to welcome me to the WoW blogging community as well as the maker of my first header for my site.
Good luck in all your future endeavors.
Sorry, to hear that you are quiting, but I can understand the desire. Good luck.
I am so very sorry to see you go Qieth. I learned to be a better Moonkin here!!!! Mainly because you write in terms everyone can understand.
now where am I gonna go…….hugs
It’s a sad day for me
Thanks for all your help Qieth, you will be sorely missed. Looking forward to your future projects. All the best.
Shame to see WoW losing a good community contributer. This was a well designed site with great information.
Hey mate,
I remember it wasn’t too long ago i congratulated you on becoming a Moderator on MMo-Champion. A few months before that i had heard about you for the first time. I started playing Warcraft not entirely knowing what i was getting into. A friend suggested i’d play a druid because they were cool. Right he was
So after i turned 80 i heard stuff like hitcap, hastecap, stat priority, epics, gems and so forth. So i started looking into that and of course tumbled on your site here. I haven’t been playing wow for months now (seems a lot of people haven’t) and i came to a point where i was wondering if i’d pick it up again.
Then i saw your post. Sad to see you leave, but i do understand why you did. Have fun in RL mate, i loved your reviews, point of views and funny comments, so i’ll still be a regular on your site.
Have fun,
Mo
